Yummy, Yummy, Yummy
Julie London

For years, this was the holy grail for used vinyl groovesters. So, it's particularly nice to have it back in print (although it does seem to muck with the sense of accomplishment for those of us who managed to dig up a copy on vinyl).

Ah well, it's a spledidly wacky album. Julie purrs and seduces, as always, but the song she's singing is "Louie Louie". Hmmm.

But, of course, Julie makes them all work, because no one can possibly resist the sound of her voice, even if she's recounting the story of Quinn, the Eskimo. Some may say it's a travesty for Julie to be singing these tuners... we say its an inspiration!

Here's the tracks (brace yourselves):

Stoned Soul Picnic
Like To Get To Know You
Light My Fire
It's Nice To Be With You
Sunday Mornin'
Hushabye Mountain
Mighty Quinn (Quinn, The Eskimo)
Come To Me Slowly
And I Love Him
Without Him
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy
Louie Louie
